Fort Hood Shootings

Two gunmen in military uniforms opened fired today at Fort Hood in Texas, killing several people and wounding dozens.  Fort Hood, the Army’s largest U.S. Port is in lockdown as authorities respond to the scene

Army officials say as many as 9 have been shot dead, at least 20 wounded.  One shooter is in custody and the fort is on lockdown as they search for a second.

Fort Hood spokesman Sgt. Maj. Jamie Posten told CNN:

“At this point we’re looking for the other shooter,” Posten said. Asked for a description, he said, “we’re trying to develop that information.”

U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas said the shooters were wearing military uniforms, but it was unclear whether they were soldiers.

Obama is expected to speak soon.
