Former American Idol Contestant Alexis Cohen Found Dead

Former American Idol contestant Alexis Cohen, 25, was found unconscious on the side of the road early Saturday morning after being struck by a car in Seaside Heights, N.J.

According to an autopsy Cohen, who auditioned for American Idol during seasons 7 and 8,  suffered head, chest and abdominal injuries.

She was found at 4 a.m. and pronounced dead at 6:35 a.m. at the Community Medical Center in Toms River.

She is well known on American Idol for her tirade against judge Simon Cowell, who rejected her performance and repeated rude gestures directed at the judges.
