Elton John’s Husband Slams Madonna For Her Golden Globe Win And Speech

Shortly after Madonna won the Golden Globe last night for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture for “Masterpiece,” Elton John’s husband, David Furnish, had a few words for the Material Girl. (Elton was nominated in the same category)

On his Facebook page Furnish wrote:

“Madonna. Best song???? F**k off!!!  Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in its narcissism.  And her criticism of Gaga shows how desperate she really is.”

OUCH!

Backstage at the Globes, Madonna was spoke about how she hoped Elton wouldn’t hold a grudge against her for the won:

“I hope he speaks to me for the next couple of years.  He’s been known to get mad at me so I don’t know. He’s brilliant and I adore him so he’ll win another award. I don’t feel bad!”
