Ed McMahon Files Lawsuit Against Hospital
July 20, 2008
It appears Ed McMahon is looking for some easy money considering he’s been in the spotlight lately with some major financial issues including foreclosure and bankruptcy.
He has launched a lawsuit against Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, accusing of doctors of failing to cure his neck problems.
McMahon checked into the hospital after breaking his neck in a fall at billionaire Robert Day’s home last year.
He claims the treatment he received wasn’t acceptable and he’s still experiencing neck pain which is preventing him from working.
He tells U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight:
”We had hoped to avoid a lawsuit, but our discussions were not fruitful and we were left with no other option.
“We believe our suit has great merit and we expect a favourable resolution.”
In his suit, McMahon claims he was discriminated against because of his age, stating he was treated like a “bobble head” doll and was sent home in pain when he should have been treated.
McMahon is also suing Day after slipping on “unsafe entry stairs” outside his home.
The 85 year old is currently battling a series of financial problems and faces lawsuits from a major credit card company and a pharmacy.

Wow, talk about desperate!!! I remember when he was on Larry King talking about his problems he refused to discuss the circumstances of how he broke his neck. Now we know why. Wonder who else he’s going to sue. Pretty sad actually.

WOW is right, seeking damages on six accounts I read, did he think he was too
good to be a patient and thought he was royality or something. He was
in debt and looking for a way to get out of it. He over spent and
lived beyond his means… Going after medical persons and the Hospital is
just too much. You watch he will be walking and doing just fine after
this is all over. The Judge who ruled in his favor hope he/she feels
it was justified. Funny how he had to get out in front of the world on
Larry King to complain. He worked long enough and should have had
plenty to take care of himself but because he over did now all has
to pay. I feel for the ones who really need the help for real problems.
