DJ AM Cause Of Death Still A Mystery

As we are all aware by now, Adam Goldstein, 36, aka DJ AM was found dead yesterday in his New York City apartment and the big questions is, ‘How did DJ AM die?’

His autopsy was performed this afternoon, but famous DJ’s death is still a mystery.

New York City Medical Examiner spokesperson Ellen Borakove says:

“The cause of death was inconclusive because we need to do additional testing.  The testing would include toxicology and tissue testing. We don’t expect any results for several weeks.”

The NY Times reports:

Goldstein, was discovered face-down in his bed wearing only sweatpants, with a crack pipe and unspecified prescription drugs nearby.

Two years ago, in a previous interview with The New York Times, Goldstein revealed:

“he drank heavily, used cocaine and smoked crack in his early 20s, reaching his lowest point when he attempted suicide in 1997.”
