After 8 years of marriage, Dennis Quaid and his wife, Kimberly Buffington-Quaid are divorcing.
In a statement to Extra, a rep for the actor said:
“We can confirm that Kimberley Quaid has filed for divorce. Contrary to what has been reported, a satisfactory settlement is being worked out for both parties.”
Kimberly reportedly filed for the divorce because things have “become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities.”
The couple have 4-year-old twins, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace together and a temporary custody order indicates that the couple will share custody of the twins.
Kimberly will get possession of the family’s main house and a Mercedes, while Quaid gets a condo and a Cadillac, and the couple will share a Range Rover.
This was Quaid’s third marriage. He and Meg Ryan divorced in 2001 and he and actress P.J. Soles divorced in 1983.
