David Duchovny Has Seen A UFO

With his new movie, The X-Files: I Want To Believe’ now in theaters, David Duchovny talks about his experience with aliens.

The actor, who reprises his role as FBI agent Fox Mulder in the the second film in the sci-fi franchise, says he had an encounter several years ago, but admits it could have been a case of overtiredness saying:

“I believe I saw a UFO once, a long time ago, about 1982, but I don’t know what it was.

“I saw something in the sky that disappeared. I was having a hard time then, you know, life. There was something in the air and it was gone and I thought, ‘You’ve got to get some rest David.’ “

Even thought the movie just hit theaters this week, Duchovny is already planning for a third film. He says:

“Chris Carter (creator) has said something about 2012 (for a third film). It depends very much on this film. I know we’ve made a great thriller/horror/creepy movie. Simply put, if it does the right kind of business, we’ll be able to make more. We hope it becomes kind of a film franchise. Coming back was always something I wanted to do. I would love to follow Mulder as he got older and older.”
