Dave Matthews Band Keyboard Player Quits

 

The unofficial 6th member of the Dave Matthews Band, keyboard player Butch Taylor, has quit the band just days before the group’s North American summer tour strts.

No reason has been given for his departure, but the band’s publicist insists Taylor will not be replaced for the dates which begin on Thursday night (29May08) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In a post on the group’s website, the band states:

 ”We are saddened by this sudden news but he has our full support. He’s given so much to us and our audience through the years and he will be missed.”
