Connor Cruise To Star In Red Dawn Remake

After making his big screen debut last year as a young Will Smith in the drama Seven Pounds, Tom Cruise’s 14-year-old son Connor Cruise is headed back to the big screen.

Connor has signed on to star in a remake of the 1984 action war drama Red Dawn where he will play Daryl, the youngest in the group of high school students who wage war against foreign invaders.

The film will begin shooting next month in Detroit and is due out September 2010. The cast is reportedly heading to an undisclosed location in a few weeks for military training.

Connor Cruise was adopted by Tom Cruise and then-wife Nicole Kidman.
