Conan O’Brien Signs Deal To Leave NBC
January 21, 2010

The Today Show announced this morning that a deal has been signed for Conan O’Brien’s exit from NBC.
Meredith Vieira said this morning:
“It is now official.”
O’Brien’s manager, Gavin Polone, The Wrap:
“In the end, Conan was appreciative of the steps NBC made to take care of his staff and crew, and decided to supplement the severance they were getting out of his own pocket. Now he just wants to get back on the air as quickly as possible.”
As part of the reported deal Conan will allowed to return to the air on another network no sooner than Sept. 1.
His last show is expected to be this Friday while Jay Leno will to return to the 11:35 p.m. program he hosted for 17 years. A formal announcement is expected to be made later today.
I’m so sad about this. I really enjoy watching Conan on The Tonight Show.
