Comedian Katt Williams Arrested For Burglary And Criminal Trespassing

Comedian Katt Williams (real name Micah S. Katt Williams) was arrested early this morning, Monday November 9, 2009 in Georgia and is being held on charges of burglary and criminal trespassing.

Coweta County Sheriff’s Office Major James Yarbrough said the incident happened Sunday night at a home in Newnan, about 38 miles southwest of Atlanta.

Yarbrough added the unidentified homeowner called police around 9 p.m. to report that Williams “gained entry by breaking into the home, and items were taken from the residence.”

Yarbrough said jewelry was taken, but did not have further details.

He’s being held in Coweta County jail and is set to face a judge today.
