Whitney Houston’s mother, Cissy Houston, opened up for the first time since her daughter’s death during an interview with My9′s 10 O’Clock News.
“My children are my whole life,” Cissy says during the interview. “She was very special to me. She was my only daughter, and a good one. Looked out for her family.”
She also adds she did the best she could as a mother:
“I know I did the best I could,” Cissy says of her daughter’s untimely passing. “I don’t blame myself. I know I did the best I could for everything.” Says Houston,
“I’m very proud of my daughter. She accomplished a whole lot in the short time that she had here . . .she was a very wonderful person.”
And we’re glad Whitney shared that wonderfulness with us. She’ll be missed that’s for sure.
