Christina Aguilera Set To Open The American Music Awards This Sunday

 

It was announced today that Christina Aguilera will open this years American Music Awards on Sunday November 23 with a seven-minute medley of six of her greatest hits.

The opening number will include “Genie in a Bottle,” “Fighter”, “Beautiful,” “Keeps Getting Better” and “Dirrty,” a source close to the show tells Us.

Other performers for the big show include Miley Cyrus, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Rihanna as well as Mariah Carey, with whom Aguilera she famously feuded in 2006.

In a statement to UsMagazine, Dick Clark Productions President Orly Adelson said:

“We are very excited to have Christina Aguilera perform at this year’s show.  She raises the bar with each live performance and you can expect something special at the 2008 ‘American Music Awards.’”

This will mark singer’s second performance since giving birth to 11-month-old son Max.
