Cameron Diaz Vogue Cover

Cameron Diaz is the cover girl for the June issue of Vogue magazine.  In the issue she opens up about losing her father to pneumonia last year at the age of 58 and she chats a bit about her upcoming film My Sister’s Keeper, where plays the mother of two young daughters, one who is dying of leukemia, and another who is suing for medical control of her body.

Check out some highlights below:

On returning to work after losing her dad: “I think… emotionally, it definitely took its toll.  Definitely.  It’s the human experience…You know, that’s what the heart does. Things are given to us, and things are taken away. And I think the heart becomes stronger, more capable.”

On her role in her new film: “This is a woman who does not waver.  That’s not something you want to accept about anybody you love – particularly if you are mother.  That’s what I held on to as I was telling her story. You are a parent. You fight to keep your child alive, no matter what it takes.”
