Bryce Dallas Howard To Take On The Role Of Victoria In Twilight’s Third Film ‘Eclipse’

Bryce Dallas Howard Terminator Premiere

Bryce Dallas Howard, 28 and daughter of director Ron Howard, is replacing Rachelle Lefevre, 30, as Victoria in Twilight’s third film ‘Eclipse’.  Victoria is the nomadic vampire who is trying to kill Bella and whose role gets significantly bigger in the third film.

Rachelle played Victoria in the first film and its upcoming sequel New Moon.

Erik Feig, president of worldwide production and acquisitions for Summit Entertainment says of the change:

“Rachelle brought Victoria to great screen life, and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character.  The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role.”

Summit says Lefevre is leaving the series because of scheduling conflicts with a new film project where she is to appear opposite Dustin Hoffman in the independent film Barney’s Version, which is set to begin filming the same day as Eclipse, but in Quebec.

Eclipse is scheduled for release in 2010.
