Bruce Springsteen Cancels Concert Due To Death In Family
October 27, 2009

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band canceled last night’s concert at the Sprint Center due to a “death in Bruce’s immediate family.”
The Kansas City show was canceled after his cousin, Lenny Sullivan, was found dead in his hotel room TMZ reports.
Cops and paramedics responded around 4:15 PM to the hotel that Bruce and the band were staying at and Sullivan was found dead in his room. Circumstances are currently under investigation, although police do not suspect foul play in the death.
A message on Springsteen’s official website says:
“Due to a death in Bruce’s immediate family, tonight’s show at Sprint Center has been unavoidably cancelled. All tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase. Bruce and The Band deeply appreciate the understanding of our Kansas City audience and look forward to returning at the earliest opportunity.”
TMZ says Sullivan worked for Springsteen for 10 years as an assistant tour manager.
Tickets from the show will be refunded at the point of purchase.
