Bristol Palin And Levi Johnston Are Engaged

So the big story today is that Bristol Palin, 19, and Levi Johnston, 20, are engaged.  there has been so much drama from them like the teen pregnancy, the break-up, the ‘you can’t see out baby anymore’, “I’m not having sex again until I’m married”, I could go on…this whole thing just kind of cracks me up.

In the new Us Weekly they are on the cover ‘exclusively’ revealing that they are getting married and that Bristol’s mom, Sarah Palin doesn’t even know, until now that is.

Bristol tells the mag:

“We got engaged two weeks ago.  It felt right, even though we don’t have the approval of our parents.”

Levi says:

“I really thought we were over.  So when I went, I had no hope. I think we both just started talking — and then we took Tripp for a walk.”

Bristol adds: “When he left that night, we didn’t hug or kiss, but I was thinking how different it was. He texted me: ‘I miss you. I love you. I want to be with you again’ … I was in shock.”

On Sarah Palin, who of Levi says that anyone who posed for Playgirl would “say and do anything for even more attention.” and then on Oprah during an interview called him “Ricky Hollywood” and called his “aspiring porn” career “heartbreaking” Bristol says:

“It is intimidating and scary just to think about what her reaction is going to be. Hopefully she will jump on board.”

The Palins have since released a statement on the Today show this morning saying:

“Bristol at 19 is now a young adult. We obviously want what’s best for our children. Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our daily lives.”
