Barbra Streisand Turns Down $100 Million Las Vegas Deal

Holy Moly!  PopEater is reporting that Barbra Streisand turned down a deal for over $100 million to perform for three years on the Vegas strip.  This would have been one of the biggest deals in showbiz history.

Babs was apparently offered a Celine Dion-like gig for three years but reportedly ditched it to instead do a normal tour.  This is definitely not about the money for her but about herself and the fans.

A Vegas insider tells PE:

“After Celine Dion left Vegas, no one has been able to replace her. Bette Milder failed, Cher is trying, only Barbra is guaranteed to succeed.  She’s an international star and the only performer in the world that would make people flock to Vegas year after year.”

Still she decided to pass up the deal with a friend adding:

“Money has never been a deciding factor in her career. She plans on touring again this summer instead.”
