Barbara Walters, 83, has been hospitalized after falling at an inauguration party at an ambassador’s home in Washington.
According to ABC News spokesman Jeffrey Schneider, Walters fell on Saturday night on a step at the residence of Britain’s ambassador to the United States, Peter Westmacott, leaving her with a cut on her forehead.
As a precaution Walters went to a hospital on Sunday for treatment of the cut and for a full examination, Schneider added. She was alert and was “telling everyone what to do, which we all take as a very positive sign,” he said.
It was unclear when she is expected to be released from the hospital.
We hope she’s ok!
