The sci-fi box office hit Avatar is being pulled from 1,628 2-D screens this week in China according to The Los Angeles Times.
Avatar is already the highest-grossing movie of all time in China earning $76 million, but the government has decided to remove the film this week. China’s state-run movie distributor China Film Group is replacing the box office hit with a biography about Confucius starring Chow-Yun Fat.
But never fear, Chinese fans will still be able to check out Avatar on almost 900 3D screens.
