Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, who are rumored to be getting married this weekend after announcing their engagement just last month, reveal how they met as they reminisce over it during an interview on Los Angeles radio station 98.7FM.
Pete:
”The first time we met… I was like, ‘Yo, can you get Ashlee Simpson’s email for me?’ and they had to email you a picture of me.”
Ashlee:
“I didn’t know who you were,” but after she saw the handsome rocker’s picture, she was smitten: “I said, ‘OK, I’ll meet him,’ (and) I met you.”
Pete:
“The first time we really hung out she flashed me, and that was awesome… It was love at first sight.”
But Pete says Simpson was reluctant to commit to a romance at first adding:
”I was in the friend zone with her for a good, solid year… I’d be, like, calling her, I’d be following her around like a puppy dog.”
