Anna Paquin At The 59th Annual Emmy Awards Nominee Reception

Here’s some shots of Anna Paquin at a gathering held for those nominated for this years Emmy Awards and I can’t help but think she’s trying to look sexy in most of those pictures below, but I have to say (and I’m sure I’ll take some slack for this) that she is failing miserably.  She looks GREAT in that top photo, but not so much the others.  I do like her, don’t get me wrong, she is a fantastic actress.  According to her IMDb page she has LOTS of movies in the works.  And she is nominated for an Emmy for her role as Elaine Goodale in HBO’s “Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee.” Although she doesn’t expect to win and is not preparing an acceptance speech.

“Why set yourself up for disappointment?” says Paquin, who recalls how it felt when she was called to the stage to accept her “Piano” Oscar. “I was terrified. I was a very shy, very, very young 11. I don’t think I had ever seen so many people at one time and to have them all sitting there waiting for me to say something … It was awful.”
