Amy Winehouse Charged With Assaulting Fan

It’s just one thing after another for troubled singer Amy Winehouse.

Just days after arriving back in Britain, police and a spokesman say she has been charged with assault over claims she punched a fan.

Spokesman Chris Goodman says the singer voluntarily went to a police station Thursday, where she was charged with assault.

Winehouse was accused of lashing out at Sherene Flash during the End of Summer Ball in London in September of last year.

Police investigated the incident following Flash’s claims she asked to take a photograph of Winehouse but the singer punched her in the eye and ran away, screaming:”Life can’t go on. I can’t do this any more.”

Winehouse is due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court on March 17.
