The gorgeous Amanda Seyfried, 23, is the cover girl for the September 2009 issue of Allure magazine.

On being anxious:  “I was obsessive as a little girl.  I would have to be really organized—too organized. Things like straightening my room didn’t feel right to me; I’d have to redo it and redo it. But that kind of anxiety in me, that obsession, was helpful. I use it in my acting. It’s something I don’t want to give up feeling, because it gives me an edge.”

On her Mean Girls co-star Lindsay Lohan and Hollywood being just like high school:  “I liked Lindsay fine, but we were never friends… Hollywood is just like high school: The popular people love the other popular people. And the thing is, some people aren’t nice. Or they are nice, but only to your face, not elsewhere.”

On being insecure going up against other actresses:  “I am surrounded by an industry full of beautiful actresses! They’re everywhere! I do my fair share of judging when I see certain women on the covers of magazines. I think, why is she on the cover?”

Amanda is busy promoting her latest film, Diablo Cody’s horror flick ‘Jennifer’s Body’ which hits theaters September 18.
