Adam Lambert American Music Awards Performance

Adam Lambert closed the 2009 American Music Awards with a performance of ‘For Your Entertainment,’ which is the title track off of his debut album set for release tomorrow, November 23, 2009.
What do we think? Do you love it or was it a bit extreme??

I absolutely LOVED it! It was one of the most memorable performances I have ever seen! I had to wait an hour to download the album but I have it!

This was horrifying and should not have been shown on national television. Shame on ABC for allowing such a performance. He’s a freak.

Adam was over the top at the AMA Awards and for Prime-time TV. He didn’t need to prove anything to anyone.
So what if Madonna and Britney did what they did, Adam doesn’t have to stoop to their level on National TV.
He can save it for his tours. Adam is a talented singer and actor, and if he needs to express himself save it for the road.
Last night, it reminded me of a drag-show and wasn’t entertaining at all. I believe last night he may have committed career suicide.

Yes Adam Lambert was over the top.
But it was amazing! That’s who he is.
Did you not see his performances on American Idol?
I don’t know how anyone could not see this coming.
If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. Not complicated.
Adam, I love your music, you’re style

Adams vocals were terrible. I was looking forward to his performance, and it wasn’t good at all. As for the shock value of the number…it was all very amatuerish. The S&M stuff and the kissing didn’t phase me, but there was not enough rehearsal for this performance. What a let down.

I agree — Adam may have commited career suicide last night. He alienated the audience that ‘made’ him. What a F – up. Who’s advising him??? If he’s ‘just being himself’ — give me a break — he’s an idiot. He UNsold my concert tickets and CD last night. Elton John performs and entertains; but doesn’t act STUPIDLY with his audience. Adam did. It will take a lot of goodwill on his part to overcome his blunder — if it’s possible. And he “piled on” by trying to rightiously defend the nonsense in interviews afterward. Adam Adam Adam… You need some serious damage control right now and opening your trap is NOT your best move — at least when nonsense spews forth. Later… much later…

Adam was awesome in American Idol. I am not discriminating against gays but what Adam did was over the top. You don’t make out with random dudes on stage. What will his boyfriend think?? And you don’t make sexy moves with your pelvis on stage. Sure..Elvis and Michael Jackson did it but he that too far. He pretty much might’ve ruined his career right then.

He’s a freakin Rock Star!! Look at Elvis and The Doors- both made headlines for pushing the limit. I say if your not making the majority uncomfortable- your not doing your job as a Rock Star. Wasn’t a big Lambert fan- but now I am.

All I can say is that it is a definite double standard. Yes things have
gone too far in what is accepted on television, movies, magazines etc.
I agree with what Ellen Degenerous said if you accept this in society
for one group of people you can’t just change if for another and act
like they have done something you have never seen before. It just
isn’t right. What’s good for one is good for the other.
