Adam Carolla KSLX Radio Show Cancelled

CBS Radio has cancelled “The Adam Carolla Show” with Friday being the last day for the show. But “best of” shows will air for a month.
Carolla, former ‘Loveline’ host and one time contestant on Dancing With The Stars, replaced Howard Stern back in 2006 as a part of it’s “Free FM” format .
At the end of 2007, Carolla signed a “multiyear extension” for his “Adam Carolla Show” program and at the time a CBS Radio exec said that the show had “far exceeded [CBS’s] expectations and proven to be a listener favorite,” even adding that he “anticipate[d] even more success for the program in the years to come.”

Put them back on. Be a man and admit your mistake and don’t let the mexicans in LA have all the airtime. I don’t think you really know how many people love Adam and the crew. It’s the only…and I mean only show for native Angelenos who are white..This decision is incorrect…

this is a sad sad day as the adam carolla show will be gone after tomorrow 2/20/09. this show is terrific and adam and his crew has provided really great radio for tens of thousands of people in the LA area since its beginning in 2006. why the heck would CBS cancel it i will never understand!!! it’s ridiculous!!! keep them on the air PLEEEAAAASSE!!!!!

Are the people at CBS insane? Everyone I know in Vegas listens to Adam Corolla. In fact diehard Stern fans have told me they thinks Adam’s show is so much better. What’s the truth behind this because I don’t believe its ratings are poor. If anyone there knows what they’re doing they’ll bring it back

This was the saddest news to wake up to this morning. I live in WA
state and I LOVE waking up to Adam and Teresa in the morning. No, I
don’t think radio is a dying medium and no, I don’t think it would be
better if Adam came back in a podcast! I love the good old fashioned,
alarm wake up, turn on in the shower, and again all the way to work
radio program. I join many in exclaiming that CBS execs are
morons for making this decision. Adam and Teresa, thanks for the many
laughs and good times!

I used to love Adam Corolla on Loveline but the 97.1 show was repetitive and gimmicky (”music Mondays, Tuesdays, whatever. Every day was a retread of the same old rants and stories, good riddance. RIP Loveline - Drew (who is now more successful than Adam, who’d of thunk it?) and Adam’s greatest moment.

I say we ALL write letters to the idiots at CBS!!! Let’s not allow them to take adam off the air! Besides kids who listen to the jonas brothers and britney spears which the new music is aimed towards will be IN SCHOOL during the time adam is normally on. If enough of us tell cbs how we feel and show them how many listeners they are going to lose maybe they will realize how stupid their decision was! Keep Adam on air!!!!!!!!!!

I work in the television business, on-air, and I know good shows when
I hear and see them. Your getting rid of Adam & “T” was a big mistake.
But then again, all executives in the broadcasting world know everything.

Adam Corolla is the best showman on the air. He has had outstanding ratings for the last three year I just wish the rest of the station could have kept up with his standard. Adam is a hot commodity and he will return soon most likely to TV. I will miss the four hours of real improve every morning and let this be known that today was the day radio died.

When I first heard this news, I also heard that the station had flipped and that they had gotten rid of everyone. Then, when I heard that it was only the morning show, I was severely pissed!! How fn stupid. Adam, I hope you enjoy your time on the beach. Don’t take it personally, those CBS dumb-asses are just trying to figure out how to get Imus paid off so the harrassing phone calls will stop. It’s a sad, sad day for Vegas radio - it was, without question, the best morning show we’ve had here in a long time - the local major market wannabes all suck. Good luck to you Adam and Crew! I’ll be listening to the podcast. And CBS, what the HELL are you going to do now with Xtreme radio? You may as well close it. And another recommendation - you should change the other one to JERK FM. The show was great, but if you notice, the advertisers were the bottom of the barrel. Lately they had to have ads for a web-site that facilitated people cheating on their spouses. That tells me that they had to take what they could get. If I were some genius radio executive with a show with millions of listeners and I couldn’t generate money off of it, I would look at how it was being marketed. If these guys couldn’t get golden eggs out of a goose like that, I don’t know what makes them think they will be more successful with a format that specifically targets women 18 to 49. I guess they think there is money in cougars and kittens….. I bet we will see another re-tooling sooner than later.

The Adam Carolla show was seriously what got me through half of every work day. I would be bummed out when he was on vacation for the hollidays. If you people couldn’t figure out how to generate a healthy profit with this talented show on the air your marketing people are worthless they should be the ones getting canned. Seriously your station has lost myself and many of my outraged friends who loved the show and now will boycott your company until you bring the Aceman back. you can loose Teven though she is very smart and talented and she added quality to the show she is imature and unstable. She handles criticism like a child and is so insecure she cant even admit her own age which is pathetic but anyways bring Adam back or go F@#k Yourselves you moronic rat bastards

I didn’t find the Carolla show until recently and ever since I have been spreading the word like gospel. I live in Iowa where we have nothing but played out classic rock and top40 garbage. The Carolla show podcast is the only thing that brings me joy on my hour long drive to a frigid jobsite. I look foward to the newly uncensored red wine induced rants from the 8pm podcast on his website but I think I’m gonna miss me some T and Brian.

Adam, Teresa, & Bryan,
Upon reflection of what seemed at the time like the end of an era in FM Radio (12/2005), the lights & sounds on Mr. Stern’s radio show were turned off. I was convinced I would migrate over to satellite, however, that was until I listened to you Adam and your clever, intellectualizations on so many subjects. Your analogies are unprecedented and incredibly entertaining. You navigated through the first year (I was pleased you were open to additions & deletions). Teresa arrived during that year and I knew she was a “keeper”. Danny arrived and was a solid addition, but, I completely understood when you chose to let him fly solo, another way of saying “you were crowding me dude”.
Anyway, I know I speak for hundreds of thousands, more than likely millions, when I say we enjoyed watching you grow as an entertainer, we took pleasure, care, and concern as we listened to our Teresa (your sidekick) go from “a long dry stretch”, to a few bumpy dates, to the love of her life, to now pregnant. And, we enjoyed Bryan’s new found confidence and participation on the show.
You were there for us, bringing great joy and entertainment to us all. We fell in love (in a bro-mance kind of way with you, in a big brother kind of way with Teresa, of course, sometimes thinking of her in other ways that are not appropriate) with all of you.
What do we do now? We wait…..we anticipate……we celebrate….The Adam Carolla Show (what it was to us and you) and what it will soon be again…..we know this to be true, we have to believe it….it is too sad for any of us to think otherwise.
Lastly, thank you for your commitment and dedication to our “drive to work”. We are and will forever be greatful for the “wind beneath those vocal wings” of yours (as you so stated), and for Teresa’s delightful, warming, inspiring, uplifting personality (Batman…take care of her, she is one of a kind), and Bryan for stepping up and bringing his game this last year.

P.S. CBS - I permanently deleted 97.1 from my radios on both of my cars, and will from this point forward delete it from all rental cars that I find myself in. (I will never know what you new format sounds like because I will never tune in again). Further, with all due respect, please be prepared to write and report on your own obituary with this “AMP” Minimart format. The only three letter format you should go with is “ACE” for the “The Aceman”.

who decided to switch format? I mean of course it will be cheaper

I thought I was a coveted demographic for Advertisers to market to. I’m a single Man between 18 and 45. I have a lot of extra cash to spend on American products and services every month. I’m not going to stop buying products and services, but ANYBODY ADVERTISING ON CBS RADIO FOR BUSINESS is just wasting their ADVERTISING DOLLARS trying to reach me through a CBS Radio Stations now since I will no longer will listen to CBS ANYTHING!

to anything cbs again, nor will I watch any cbs telivision

wtf there is not one radio stat. on that has any worth left here in sacramento. i know , i keep checking every morn on my way to work*(1.5hr)im still turning to “the old station”here in sac hoping Adam an T and crew are workin,,but no,nothin out there.this really is a bummer to put it gently.there aint NOTHING worth tuning in. Adam,i wish u all great furtune.i hope u all make it back to radio or even greater very soon. its selfish i know,but i want u all back because “your show”made me happy every time and i looked forward to the show every time.
