Accused Craigslist Killer Philip Markoff Engaged To Megan McAllister

Wow, this story just keeps getting creepier.  I’m sure you’ve all heard of the ‘Craigslist Killer’ by now.

He’s reportedly 22-year-old Philip Markoff, who police say is a clean-cut medical student and has been targeting women via Craigslist.  He allegedly robbed and killed Julissa Brisman, a 26-year old who had advertised exotic services on Craigslist last Tuesday inside a Boston hotel.  And he also allegedly attacked another female in a separate incident. The police believes that his motive in the crimes was to pay off gambling debts.

Come to find out he is engaged to be married to Megan McAllister.  They even have, or I should say had since it appears to have been taken down, a website up talking all about their upcoming wedding.  They are supposed to be married this August 14 and Megan is standing by her man.

She told ABC News in an email:

“Unfortunately, you were given wrong information as was the public.  All I have to say to you is Philip is a beautiful person inside and out and could not hurt a fly! A police officer in Boston (or many) is trying to make big bucks by selling this false story to the TV stations. What else is new?? Philip is an intelligent man who is just trying to live his life so if you could leave us alone we would greatly appreciate it. We expect to marry in August and share and wonderful, meaningful life together.”
