Angelina previously revealed that she did some very dangerous things when she was younger and she is lucky she didn’t die young: “I went through heavy, darker times and I survived them. I didn’t die young, so I’m very lucky. There are other artists and people who didn’t survive certain things. People can imagine I did the most Dangerous and the worst. For many reasons, I shouldn’t be here. You just think [about] those times when you came too close to too many dangerous things, too many chances taken, too far.”
After surviving cancer, Jeremy felt lucky just to be alive so he could spend more time with his wife and children: “It’s been a horrific time – a very sobering experience – but now I just feel lucky to be alive. I feel lucky that I’m here for my family and can see my kids grow up.”
Keira believes she got incredibly lucky with her career because not everyone gets that important break and she thinks it’s up to luck: “The thing with acting is it’s not a job where, if you go to drama school, get the best grades and work the hardest, you’re going to be successful. It has nothing to do with whether you’re the best or the prettiest. It takes a lot of luck.”
Paris knows she is lucky for being born in to such a wealthy family: “I’m not my fault that I was born with this. I thank God and I’m lucky, and I help people and I give money away, and I do a lot of things for people. I realise I’m lucky – and people shouldn’t hate me for that. They should hate me if I’m a bad person and mean to people. But I’m so sweet. I’m too nice.”
Simon believes he is lucky just to have family and friends who he can talk to and who support him, especially because his career can make it harder to form true friendships: ”I’m lucky that I have a lot of good people around me. That’s very important, especially when you do what I do. I’m happy but I would like a girlfriend.”
